Essenza

Essenza

Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes harvested very ripe and in some vintages, from grapes infected with noble rot: the Botrytis Cinerea fungus.
Noble rot develops most reliable in seasons when morning mists, are followed by warm, dry afternoon that dries the grapes out. When repeated over a number of weeks, this process gradually tires the grapes, reducing their water content and naturally concentrating their flavour compounds.
Deep golden yellow coloured, Essence features an extraordinarily rich and intense bouquet with amazing aromas of saffron, tropical fruit and apricot.
